Bank Community Senior Healthcare Assistant

£17.00 an hour

As a community Healthcare Assistant with Wren Healthcare the post holder will be expected to travel within reasonable distances deemed by the needs of the business.

This may involve visiting patients at their own home or within a clinic setting to carry out delegated clinical activities such as but not exclusive to venepuncture, swab testing, and capillary sampling, this is inclusive of COVID19 testing.

The services provided are not limited to the patient’s home and may take place in Wren Healthcare’s community-based clinics. The Healthcare Assistant will always have availability to contact a Registered Nurse for advice and support should the need arise.

Accountabilities & Activities:

Accountable for the competent and confident delivery of high-quality clinical care to all patients/participants within Wren Healthcare Ltd

Attending training to safely carry out required clinical skills

Demonstrate a professional approach to work and act in accordance with Wren Healthcare’s Policies and Procedures

Act as an advocate for the patients/participants and their families as supported by the Wren Registered Nurse Supporting Team

Accountable for reporting all activity, risks and issues in line with Wren Healthcare policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively, promoting open and trusting relationships.

Maintain confidentiality in line with all current legislation.

Establish personal rapport with potential and actual patients/participants and other persons involved to understand service requirements.

Stay up to date and follow correct working documents and policies set out by Wren Healthcare

Travelling to various locations to carry out clinical activities

Utilise lone working device following Wren Healthcare policy to ensure own safety whilst practicing.

Follow company policy relating to data management

Work autonomously but recognise limitations and when to raise concerns across the company reporting structure.

A full valid UK driving License and Phlebotomy skills are essential for this role.

Experience:

Community Healthcare: 1 year (preferred)
Phlebotomy: 2 years (preferred)

NVQ 2
