As a community bank nurse with Wren Healthcare the post holder will be expected to travel within reasonable distances deemed by the needs of the business.

This may involve visiting patients at their own homes to carry out clinical activities such as but not exclusive to venepuncture, swab testing, capillary sampling and medication administration, this is inclusive of COVID19 testing. Other skills required may involve supporting or educating patients to become self-caring with therapies.

The services provided are not limited to the patients home and may take place in Wren Healthcare’s community based clinics.

Accountabilities & Activities:

Accountable for the competent and confident delivery of high-quality clinical care to all patients/participants within Wren Healthcare Ltd.

Attending training to safely carry out required clinical skills

Develop and maintain own clinical skills and knowledge necessary to provide holistic evidence-based clinical care.

Demonstrate a professional approach to work and act in accordance with the NMC’s Code of Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nurses and Midwives at all times.

Maintain own registration with NMC whilst complying with the requirements of revalidation.

Act as an advocate for the patients/participants and their families providing information, support and direction to other support services as appropriate.

Ensure all patient/participant care is documented and that all relevant records are completed accurately, and within agreed timescales, using company approved documentation in line with NMC, CQC standards and UKAS Regulations.

Accountable for reporting all activity, risks and issues in line with Wren Healthcare policies and procedures.

Communicate effectively, promoting open and trusting relationships.

Maintain confidentiality in line with all current legislation.

Establish personal rapport with potential and actual patients/participants and other persons involved to understand service requirements.

Stay up to date and follow correct working documents and policies set out by Wren Healthcare

Travelling to various locations to carry out nursing activities

Utilise lone working device following Wren Healthcare policy to ensure own safety whilst practicing.
