Michelle is one of our wonderful Senior Homecare Nurses for Wren Healthcare. She has previously worked for us as a Clinical Educator.

Michelle has a vast range of experience in areas such as Chemotherapy, Haematology, District Nursing, School Nursing and GP Practice Nursing before joining Wren Healthcare over a year and a half ago.

I can’t swim, but probably could if I had to!

Having worked through Covid in the NHS I foresaw the impact it would have on an already overwhelmed service.

Oh and of course the lovely directors and staff that convinced me to join Wren at an exciting time of developments.

Research and teaching and meeting the Anthony Nolan donors who are giving lifesaving donations of stem cells.

What was your first job?

I was a pot washer at a local pub.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

An office clerk or post office assistant (the one who stamps everything… I don’t think they do that anymore lol)  And of course a Nurse!

Stephen Fry, he just mesmerises me with his intellect.

Where do you see Wren Healthcare going in the future?

Clinical homecare and trials is expanding at a great pace so moving into a wide range of therapies.

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who has just started their career?

You should never stop asking questions and learning new skills. Always aim to have a very healthy work/life balance.
