This 1-day CPD accredited course is aimed at supervisors and clinical staff looking to gain knowledge of what supervision is, what it aims to achieve and how this is best achieved.

This course will introduce you to the different models of supervision and explore options to give you the best chance of success.

You will gain the skills and knowledge to provide reliable support while understanding the legal and ethical issues involved in supervision.

Why is it Important?

Clinical supervision has benefits for nurses, nursing, patients and service users, carers and also the organisational culture, reflecting the values and behaviours of the organisation and its staff. It is also linked to good clinical governance.

Clinical supervision functions as an emotionally safe space that, in turn, promotes critical reflection and has a positive impact on nurses’ emotional well-being.

Clinical supervision provides a strategy to mitigate nurses’ workplace stress and enhance retention. (rcn.org.uk)
