Virtual clinical training for £65. Facilitated by registered nurses.
26th April 2022 – Virtual Session
This 3-hour CPD accredited course allows attendees to gain theoretical and practical pressure area care knowledge. This training course is intended to cover all aspects of a basic understanding of Parkinson’s Disease and the associated risks to residents or patients. It also covers the associated symptoms, physiological effects and treatments.
Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition. The main symptoms are tremor, rigidity and slowness of movement, but the condition doesn’t only affect mobility. How the condition affects the patient can vary from hour to hour, or even minute to minute. The amount of help and support you give them will need to vary, too. Healthcare Professionals should ensure Parkinson’s medication is given on time, every time. Taking medication at exactly the right time is crucial for people with Parkinson’s and can make it easier for us to manage their care while in a care facility.
All healthcare workers across all settings with existing knowledge wanting to enhance their current understanding. Alternatively, those new to healthcare looking to acquire new skills and practice effectively.
Registered nurses with first-hand clinical experience.
